Baby Snow Baby Shower
Baby Snow baby shower
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and our village outdid themselves with our first baby shower. The afternoon was filled with love and expectation, for how this tiny human would change our family. All five love languages were on full display during our shower - words of encouragement about what type of parents we would be, thoughtful gifts to help us be ready for our widdle bundle, acts of service spearheaded by our sisters (Eva, Jenn, Nyema and Janell) and best cousin Raye, quality time in the form of hilarious games (some including adult diapers and baby picture bingo), and lots and lots of hugs. And to top it off, we got to celebrate all this at one of our favorite restaurants in DC - Barcelona Wine Bar!
Huge thanks to all our family and friends for their love and support. Also biggest thanks to our crazy talented play-cousin Titi Pao for capturing the best parts of our day. ❤
Red, then and now
My mother wore red for her baby shower when she was pregnant with me, and I loved this idea so much, I did the same. My mother isn’t able to be in my life, but my admiration for her fashion is a connect for us. Slip skirts are one of my favorite styles. With an expert tailor, I was able to make an XL skirt into maternity fashion that was both comfortable and flattering. Both my skirt and top came from Zara Women.
