WKYS Working Women Wednesday Feature

You know those surreal moments where you get to meet people that you’re a huge fan of? Well that happened to me when I was invited to be interviewed for the WKYS Angie in the AM morning show. Angie Ange and the entire WKYS team are so talented, and dedicate a large part of the their platform to highlighting all that DC has to offer - from politics to community events to cuff questions in the morning. As a newcomer to DC, it was beyond heartwarming to be welcomed in this way. We had a great conversation about my path to STEM, obstacles young women of color still face trying to persist in technical fields, and the pride people of color should feel given our established track record of excellence in scholarly pursuits.
